Reservations may be made twenty four
hours a day seven days a week all year long by golfers who are
registered in the reservation system.
The Golf Reservation System
New York State Office of Parks,
Recreation and Historic Preservation offers an automated, telephone
reservation system for Golfers at Montauk Downs.
This system is open to all New York
State Residents who posses a valid New York State Drivers License or
Non Driver Identification Card. In order to use this automated
system you must register your Driver's License or Non-Driver's
Identification Number with Montauk Downs. You may register by faxing
the below information to (631) 668-7893 or by mailing it to Montauk
Downs State Park, 50 South Fairview Avenue, Montauk, New York 11954.
To register you must send a legible copy of your Driver's License
along with your telephone number. If you are registering by fax
please fax a copy of your License and rewrite all the information
as it appears on your License along with your telephone number.
You will be registered into the reservation system within 48 hours.
Your access number will be the nine digit number above your picture
on your License or Non-License ID. Once registered into the tee time
system, you will be provided with access to tee times seven days in
advance of your intended date of play.
The reservation system is also
accessible to Out of State Residents as well. However, they may make
golf reservations only two days in advance of their intended date of
play. Out of State Residents may register by mailing or faxing a
legible copy of your Driver's License, your telephone number and
your Social Security number. You can fax the information to (631)
668-7893 or mail it to Montauk Downs State Park, 50 South Fairview
Avenue, Montauk, New York 11954. If you are registering by fax please
fax a copy of your License and rewrite all the information as it
appears on your License along with your telephone number and Social
Security number. You will be registered into the reservation
system within 48 hours. Your access number will be your Social
Security number. Once registered into the tee time system, you will
be provided with access to tee times two days in advance of your
intended date of play.
Golf reservation privileges are
non-transferable. The person who obtained the reservation must be
part of the group playing.
The system is user friendly and will
walk you through a series of prompts and provide succeeding
instructions. Example, you will be asked, "To make a reservation,
press 1" then "please enter your identification number." Out of
State Residents must enter their Social Security number. The system
will continue to ask you questions and all you need to do is press
the buttons on the phone that correspond with the answers until you
have successfully made your reservation.
NYS Residents may make reservations
seven days in advance starting at 7:30 PM each evening for the
following week. Example, 7:30 PM Thursday you may call for a
reservation for anytime of the day for the following Thursday.
Out of State Residents may make
reservations two days in advance and can call 7:30 PM on a Thursday
for reservations for the coming Saturday.
You may only reserve one
foursome per day.
The fee is $5.00 per player each time a
reservation is claimed.
You must claim your tee time and
have all members of your group purchase their greens fee tickets at
the cashier area a minimum of ONE HOUR prior to the scheduled tee
time. FAILURE to do so will result in the automatic cancellation of
the tee time and the reservation holder will be assessed a $15.00 per
player "NO SHOW FEE".
You must cancel your reservation or
modify your group size by ELEVEN PM before your date of play
or you will be assessed the $15.00 "NO SHOW FEE" for each member
of your group that fails to show. Failure to pay the "NO SHOW FEE"
will result in the suspension of reservation privileges. However,
attempting to cancel your reservation between 7:30 PM and 11:00 PM is
risky because the system is generally busy with phone calls for new
reservations during that period. We suggest you call as early as
possible to cancel your reservation.
Out of State Residents and those
without a NYS Drivers License or NYS Non- Drivers ID will be charged
an Out of State Resident fee as described in the section on green
fees.
SAME DAY RESERVATIONS can be
made by calling the general information desk at Montauk Downs (631) 668 5000 after 8 AM and giving them your valid access number. You
still need to be at the golf course one hour before your tee
time.
In the case of inclement weather please call the general information (631) 668 5000 number regarding your tee time.
